Amna Zafar is the Communications Manager at Code for Pakistan, where she brings over 12 years of experience in journalism, media production, and strategic communications. With a career spanning newsrooms in the UK and Pakistan, Amna has a deep understanding of how powerful storytelling can drive civic engagement and social impact.
Her journey began with reporting and editorial roles at major outlets both locally and globally. She later worked at Express-News as a producer, where she led over 100 episodes of one of Pakistan’s pioneering tech shows and created documentaries on current affairs, showcasing her ability to bridge complex issues with public narratives.

At Code for Pakistan, Amna leads efforts to amplify civic tech stories, elevate citizen voices, and engage diverse audiences across digital platforms. Outside of work, she volunteers with nonprofits in Sindh, enjoys connecting with nature, and is a devoted reader.
